Seeing Stars...

Come on in, today is my Island Batik blog hop day, and every day in February the Ambassadors are show casing new fabric collections. I received this gorgeous new collection called 'Honey Blue' designed by Kathy Engle for Island Batik, and the best part is... it's in the shops now for you to purchase.

These fabrics remind me of cool summer evenings under the stars, so what better name for my quilt then... 'Seeing Stars', my pattern will be available to purchase from the 1st March from my website www.creativeblondegifts.com, be sure to follow me there, to receive a notification.

I also used a brand new (to me) wadding, from Hobbs called Poly-Down premium polyester, and I LOVE it, its beautiful to quilt, and its so warm and feels amazing

To create my quilt I used a beautiful denim blue and bold yellow Auriful thread and Schmetz needle

I'm so excited to share with you my new quilt, its made of 5 different star blocks, all sitting in their own row for this month Row by Row blog hop challenge, boldly wrapped in a gorgeous Ocean brilliant blue and finished with hand sewn Mocha neutral binding.

This quilt is a lovely size for snuggling on the sofa with, or for laying on your lap during those long summer evenings under the stars, finished size 48" x 48".

There are so many beautiful prints in this collection, so I just had to include the majority of them in my quilt...
