Welcome along to my October Island Batik Ambassador challenge, this month was all about making bags, using the amazing patterns by annie.com

Last year a made a really useful travel bag, which I've used many times throughout the year, so this year I chose something smaller... I will be honest, it was tricky in parts, but I got there and I'm super chuffed with the finished result. There is a really handy video that you can purchase along side the pattern if you require extra help too.
My pattern is called 'I'll drink to that', its a quilted bottle bag for safely carrying beverages, glassware and more, it also comes with an extra collapsible inner divider, which cushions your fragile contents.
I chose fabrics from a new Island Batik collection called 'Cheers' ; Cocktails in Teal Aruba, Citrus slice in Blue Marine and Citrus slice in Pink Raspberry

I was send all the bits I needed to construct this bag, as part of the Island Batik Ambassador program
Each pattern comes with great instructions and labels to pin to your pieces as you go. I decided to hand-sew my binding in place
Its a very sturdy bag, with pockets, zips, a great carry handle and shoulder strap
Be sure to check out all the awesome patterns available on the Byannie.com website, and don't forget to take a look at all the very talented Island Batik Ambassadors and the bags they've made.
While you're here, take a look through my shop, you'll find lots of great personalised gifts for friends and family for Christmas
Come back next month - cause its all about Christmas Stockings!

What a cute bag! This would be great to fill and give as a gift.
Pretty fabrics, Michelle! My daughter would probably like this bag!
